Test Preparation
At The Learning Center, we offer individualized sessions for preparation on standardized tests. We specialize in the following tests:
- ISEE Independent School Entrance Examination
- SAT Scholastic Aptitude Test
- GRE Graduate Record Examination
- GED General Educational Development Test
- TOEFL Test of English as a Foreign Language
Correct preparation is vital for these tests due to the importance they play in the future of the students that take them. These tests are determinative of the future acceptance of a student into employment, continuing education and college. For this reason, it is important to take these exams seriously and to get the best preparation.
Since 1967 we have offered individualized tutoring for these exams. We feel that the added attention that the student receives in this environment makes all the difference in their scores. Preparation is much easier and more efficient with easy access to a credentialed teacher without the hampering of other students to contend with. Further, the course can go at the students pace rather than the pace of other slower or faster students in a classroom environment because one will receive personalized attention from our teachers.
Our educational therapists and experienced teachers are very well qualified to assess student skills and help them excel in mastery of the topics necessary for each exam. Additionally, if test anxiety or any other problems hamper test taking ability, our psychologists and educational therapists can help remedy those problems.
