The Learning Center Foundation

The Learning Center is a private school that is WASC Accredited (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), offering full-time classes for academic credit for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Each of our students has private classes that meet four hours a day, five days a week, with credentialed or masters degree level teachers who specialize in each subject.

Classes are taught on a one-on-one basis. As a result students learn more efficiently than they do in large classrooms, therefore a year's work can often been done in fewer months than in a traditional school. It is not unusual for students to make significant gains in a short period of time. The Learning Center's program can be a complete replacement for all levels of school from Kindergarten to Twelfth grade including grammar school, elementary school, middle school, primary school, secondary school, junior high school, high school or college preparatory school.

The Learning Center can be a complete and comprehensive replacement for traditional schooling, allowing a child to reach his full educational potential. We can be used as a short-term full-time educational tool to bring the student up to grade level before return to his or her traditional school. At The Learning Center every student is guaranteed access to a computer to help facilitate learning.

For Gifted Students who have the ability to learn at a level beyond what traditional teaching has to offer, The Learning Center keeps subjects challenging. We maintain the student's interest in specific subject matter, while allowing them to take their education to a higher standard by customizing the educational program to meet their specific needs. Each student can efficiently excel through subject matter that would take much longer in a large classroom with many other students holding a student back.

For Remedial Students our credentialed teachers focus on the student's needs and weaknesses for improvement in school. In a motivational environment, our teachers work to simplify the task of grasping essential knowledge. The motivational interaction between the school, our teachers, and the student lends both support and stimulation. As progress is made in our educational environment, the student experiences increased confidence and a higher self-image, as well as better grades. This program can be considered a special education school environment that increases a remedial student's opportunities for learning.

All schooling is offered as one-student with one-credentialed teacher classes provided:

- At The Learning Center's local school campus is in Encino, California. Our school is close to Tarzana, Sherman Oaks, Reseda, Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Northridge, Winnetka, Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County in California; or

- With a teacher who comes to your home in Los Angeles, California; or

- Over the Internet through Skype from anywhere in the world with paper tests and written reports sent to The Learning Center via email or fax to be graded.
